Wood: Sengon Tikik tops with Beechwood cases. These hard woods are commercially important woods and widely available in Indonesia. Sengon Tikik is known for its distinctive graining and vivid contrasting tones.
Eco-Friendly and Sustainable: Sengon Tikik and Beechwood are plantation grown woods.
Finish: The dark finish is “Timbered Brown Farmhouse” and the light finish is “Antique Linen”. The lumber has been left in a rustic state, so when finished, it has the characteristic of century old handmade furniture. It is top coated with lacquer for added protection.
Our finishes are state of the art and very complex and it shows in the end results as we put more time and attention to detail in our finish than most any other company.
Construction:
Cases: All solid wood pieces are double sealed before assembly to insure correct and consistent moisture content.
Case Tops: Tops are a floating top construction which allows natural movement of wood and eliminates cracking and checking. All cases are corner blocked at every possible joint providing a stout frame. Cases are all dust paneled and have adjustable feet which allow for levelling on uneven floors.
